With the hot weather and smell of burnt wood in the air, I've taken a liking to a new spot for naps - the toilet. Don't be mistaken that I'm a dirty girl, the guest toilet is very dry and clean. It's also a prime location because it's near to the kitchen, the source of all yummy meals, and near to the main door so I can watch over the main passage way. This humble room keeps me cool though it may not look so cool napping alongside a toilet bowl.

Happy New Tiger Year
Hmm, it's not the year of the Dog yet? I've to wait another 8 years! Oh my I'll be an old bitch then. Speaking about time, godpa's been too busy to update my blog though he seems to have time to play his Facebook games.
He told me about this beautiful roof garden at the Orchard Central shopping centre. I think it's a great spot for dogs to visit. And I'm still waiting for him to bring me to Orchard Road.
Facebook, window shopping, and of course eating. Godpa celebrated the new year having dinner with colleagues at Tao's Restaurant. He tried the slow cooked pork back ribs which were highly recommended by the server who said it helped them win an award of some kind. The meat was soft and moist, and somehow didn't look like the item shown on their website menu. It wasn't bad tasting but neither was it something to crave for. Overall he wouldn't go back there again though the service was good.

A place to belong
Godpa bathed me yesterday so he could trim off some of the matted fur while I was wet and vulnerable. Of course it was an enjoyable process, getting scrubbed and massaged with tender love. He took pains to scrub under my chin too as it was getting stained. He hopes I can maintain a good clean look at least until the grooming early next month, groomed just in time for the Chinese New Year. I'm expected to look pretty for visitors and will be going on a special visit too.
After the bath we went out for a short trip to uncle Leon's place. Along the road godpa spotted a wandering dog, a hobo. It's quite a rare site in Singapore but it's even more rare to find humans without a home.

Just last week, godpa saw about 22 tents housing homeless people at Sembawang Park. They've since been relocated to temporary housing thanks to other humans who reported on it.
